Instant Gratification - Is It As Bad As PEOPLE Say?

Let's begin with the meaning of Instant Gratification . So what is Instant Gratification?

Divide the word and let's know the meaning of each word

Instant means immediate or the thing which is happening or coming suddenly .

Gratification is a source of pleasure or the satisfaction you gain from a desire.

Now let's come to "Instant Gratification".A lot of meanings are derived for instant gratification, one of them says" it refers to the temptation , and resulting tendency, to forego a future benefit in order to obtain a less rewarding benefit." and few of the other people tell that it's when you want it and you want it now.Instant gratification is the opposite of what we've been taught and try too hard to practice.

Okay these meanings doesn't seem to be positive right. They say that we forget our future just to get a little less rewarding benefit. Which is quite a big statement 

But is it so ?  Firstly, Why do people say that ?

basically what happens is People stop doing the productive work and start doing something that makes them happy or anything which relaxes their minds from other stuff.

For example you thought of reading at least one chapter or at least a single page of a book .But, you keep on delaying and you open your instagram to check the feed and you convince your mind that you will be using it only for 5 minutes., and the rest is history , we spend hours and hours on it.




                                                                                                                                                                   
We all do that , People say that it is instant gratification , because it hinders your way of reading that book.

Well, you can take an example of anything, You motivate yourself , You tell to your mind that from today I am going to Workout , I will just stop eating all the sweets and junk, and now you are really convinced about it. "Hey! How are you ? It's been a long time." says the guest who has just arrived with a delicious box of your favorite sweet holding in his hand. He gives it to you, You start to drool just like a baby, when he sees a candy . Okay, so now you convince your mind that "I will eat these sweets now, and start the workout and diet from tomorrow." Yes,  That is instant gratification .


Hmm, Man Instant Gratification is definitely bad !! RIGHT?   But, What if we make this enemy as our friend ?

Yes, That will be the best part right ? But IS IT POSSIBLE ?? Yes, Why not ?

Let's take the above two examples only !

If, You have made your mind to read something, that means you do think about your future right ? You do think that it will be helping me ? It will help me develop my future .. in short it would be pleasurable to you if you read that book you thought of reading. It becomes a source of pleasure to you . That means you are gratified to do it. Right? Well, that's the meaning of gratification as you can see in the beginning of the blog . 

Now you are really gratified. SO, why not doing the thing which is giving you pleasure right now.. Just do it Immediately.. and we all know that Immediate means instant. 





Well, is it that easy ? Yes,it is ... Just do the things right now , But what if you get bored ? Do, any other thing which you thought of doing , but you were delaying it since a long time. 

Well , coming to those sweets, If you are motivated enough , then it is very easy to keep those sweets aside, because it is all just your mindset which let's you do things! I have mentioned about why Fitness is a MINDSET ! 

Now what do you think about it ? 
Is Instant gratification always bad ? No , right ! We need to use it in a right way which will help us to develop ourselves!!

Intermittent Fasting ? Should you really need to follow this ? KNOW MORE ABOUT IT .!

Should a person really start IF ? But, wait a minute .. !

What is IF ? Is it a diet ?

Why is it known as the fat burning tool ?

 Can anyone do Intermittent Fating ?

Is it safe ?  Can Women do it?



Intermittent Fating or IF is NOT a diet , rather I would say it's an eating pattern .
     Here you eat for some amount of time in a day and you will be in a fasting state for the rest of the time !
There are different types of IF such as,
16:8 
12:12 
14:10 
20:4 
Another type of IF is eating on alternate days and fasting on alternate days and there are various other types like dry fasting,etc.

BUT what are these ratios , these are just the number of hours a person is going to be in a fasted stated .

In 16:8 IF , you need to fast for 16 hours and eat only for 8 hours, in 12:12 you will eat for 12 hours and fast for 12 hours.. and likewise.

Okay now we got to know about the basics of IF .. BUT HOW WOULD IF HELP ME TO LOSE WEIGHT ?



A day is divided into eating window and fasting window !

We will talk about 16:8 IF because it is the most effective one!

Here you are fasting for 16 hours and you will eat only for 8 hours..The eating window can be at any time according to your convenience  

Okay let's talk about the fasting window !! You shouldn't eat anything FOR 16 HOURS ! You should drink a lot of water throughout the day, or have any zero caloric drink like black coffee, green tea,etc. I would recommend you to not have these drinks also but at the initial stage you can try!

Now That you have fasted for 16 hours , it doesn't mean that you can have anything in those 8 hours..!

You should still eat healthy ! You need to be at a calorie deficit even at your eating or feeding window ! Make sure you calculate your maintenance calorie level and eat just below that level!

Have your macros sorted! Take a good ratio of Carbs, Fats and proteins !

Proteins are very important as it takes a lot of time to break . Have at least 1 gm of protein per 1 kg of your body weight!

For example, if your body weight is 80 kgs have 80 gms of protein !

Always break your fast with fruits !

IF is safe and it has not only scientific reason but even ayurveda believes in it . 

YOUR BODY needs time to digest food. Every food takes some amount of time to be digested , but we hinder the process by eating more food . If you in an IF diet, you give your body 16 hours for the digestion , hence your body gets all the benefits. It actually detoxify your body.

IS IT SAFE ?

Yes, It's safe ! Just do it in a right way .

MORE BENEFITS 

IF also improves your HGH; it is Human Growth Hormone. Some say that HGH increases as much as 5 times when you;re in IF.

This hormone is produced by the pituitary gland and it lowers the glucose level. 

You can improve your HGH levels naturally by IF , instead of buying HGH supplements.

The hormone levels changes leads to weight loss. It also  releases a fat burning hormone norepirephrine. 

SIDE EFFECTS 

So you are trying to start a completely new pattern of eating , your body needs time to adjust .. 

It maybe difficult for your body in the initial 2 to 3 days .. you may not get proper sleep for 1 or 2 days .. and few people get obsessed to food , as they are waiting for the Eating window to start !

But after few days you will be habituated to it. AND IT WILL BE THE BEST FEELING EVER!!

Remember that if you're starting this IF then make sure that you do it for a long term , just doing it for 2 weeks will not make sense.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE 

I have practiced this diet and lost 3 kgs in my first week ! Yep just in a week, I have lost 3 kgs.

Fitness is A MINDSET

Hey there ! Welcome to my Fitness blog.

I know that every person wants to become fit , as there will be no person who is okay to be stocky or chubby !
Being chubby is not bad, but in fact Not bad at all, as long as you're happy and healthy !


Chubby is Cute


But this blog is for those people who wants to be fit and shred some fat out of their body just like me!
Many people spend a lot of time on you tube and different other websites researching on things like

5 EASIEST WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT. 

You will have 'n' number of videos about that.

Look I am not telling that you should not research , having a sound knowledge on things is always good !

But my point is what's the use of knowing all the things but not applying it in life !

Come On guys we all know how to lose weight and things to do to lose weight but we never take a step to do that ! Knowing about things is always great but make a habit to do what you know about !

Atleast follow those 5 ways , SOMETHING is BETTER than NOTHING !

STOP PROCRASTINATING 


Do not tell yourself that you will start gymming or exercising from tomorrow or from Monday or from next Week or next Month or just for next year to make a new year resolution to lose weight, this process just continues!

I did the same ! I just paid the whole year gym fees in the form of money and went only for the first week and after that I didn't go to the gym and I recieved payments in the form of regrets !

I have wasted so much money in the gym and didn't go to the gym rather if I would have saved those money then my house would be bigger than "Burj khalifa".. JOKING OBVIOUSLY!!😜 But at least I would have my own gym by now!

MOTIVATION?

 We get motivation from different sources- like few people want to impress the girl who just smiled at him for whatever reason it maybe and few people watch motivational videos about fitness in night and get really charged up and think that they will wake up at 5 am the next morning and go for a jog or for a run ! They set the alarm - the alarm rings - they snooze the alarm -the alarm stops !


I don't know why the time is 11:10 maybe hat's the time we wake up




You dream with open eyes the last night about getting fit and start exercising from tomorrow and guess what  now they are dreaming in the conventional way while sleeping !

What I just want to say is If you're watching motivation videos or getting motivation from any source just act at that time only when you;re filled with energy ! You got charged up , Just go ,start doing it !

CONSISTENCY

Be consistent ! I cannot emphasize on how important it is to be consistent.

Self motivation is more important 

Start making it as a habit .. There will be days when you do not want to go to the gym and exercise but remember on those days just make an effort to reach the gym, that's enough ! Exercise less but exercise !

Remember "Skipping a rope will make you fit not skipping the Gym" !


Enjoy the process don't take it as a task ! Your body will feel great moreover your mind will feel excellent !


Have this in your mind

You JUST need to train your MIND , your mind will train your BODY!

Now go and start exercising !! No procrastination ...Make a plan stick to it !

My First Travel to the Queen Of Hills.

Hey people.. So I went to this place in my ''summer'' holidays ..Can you guess this place?? It's also known as "Summer capital" of INDIA ! Any guesses😜 ? OK. It is called as the Queen of Hill stations as my title depicts.. Yes you're right! It is Shimla the place which truly defines Heaven on earth. It has natural scenic beauty which will just light up your soul as you see or I would say just stare with your eyes.



How Beautiful is this !


CUISINE


Yes it's what it is! They say it has variety of cuisines but in whichever hotel I have stayed we only had paneer .. Even I don't know why..Maybe I should have tried different dishes but I was more concerned about seeing the beauty of it .


NIGHT LIFE


With the temperature going down to 4 degrees or as low as negative degrees ..you would feel cold outside and warmth inside as your heart is enjoying the place while your body is suffering😜. I went outside and had a great time at the night looking all the things that were around.

MORE TRAVEL


OK THE BEST PART is that we get to travel more as it is surrounded with a lot of places to visit which are at a distance long enough to travel by a car and short enough to not get bored while travelling, and why would a person get bored if they are travelling in a ghat road where you need to go  "Up and Down - Round and Round" and when your friends just puke because they are not habituated of that type of road and you just grin a bit  while looking at them.

Kufri

Located at 2800 metres..this place is just 17kms away from Shimla and it has ski slopes and great view . Here people go to the uphill on a horse . Yep these horses take you to the uphill where you can enjoy the adventure sports like zip lining , rope climbing, etc. ,only if you don't feel enough adventurous while on a horse among with 100 of horses !The name of the horse in which I was sitting was "Basanti" and my brother's horse' name was "gabbar"!😝 These horses are controlled by boys who work there hailing from different places.

Then we all went to many other places in the same trip like Manali,Delhi,Agra,etc.about which I would write later. So that was my summer trip 2 years ago which covered places from Vizag-Delhi-Shimla-Kufri-Manali-Delhi-Agra-Vizag in just 15k-17k rupees . I will tell you all how to travel in less cost with full enjoyment in my upcoming blogs .
